Giving it to you straight since August 2005. As of November 2013, everything's moved over to http:///www.dannystack.com/blog
People keep talking to me about feeds, but I literally have no idea what this means. Is this something to do with web cams? Am I luddite??? Congrats on your TWO episodes of Doctors by the way...though I'm green-eyed with envy. Grrr. ; )Tony Jordan's in London for his script-to-screen seminar with Peter Bowker etc on Feb 11th. Don't suppose you are going? If so, see you there!
I don't know anything about feeds either. I think it's to do with reading the blog but not having to come to the webpage or something. I set up mine on Blog Explosion and clicked the RSS FEED button or something similar...Won't be at Tony Jordan's seminar but would love to know all about it once you're done...
Danny, you may like to know that you already have a feed, and have had one since the day you set your blog up. The address is http://dannystack.blogspot.com/atom.xml.Lucy, feeds are remarkable things. Basically, they are a way of letting you know that a website has been updated without you having to actually visit it. You would use a feedreader (a program like NetNewsWire on the Mac, search Google for something for Windows) to subscribe to a site's feed, and then when the site is updated, the new content is downloaded to your reader. This allows you to keep track of loads of sites at a time.
I was going to say before that Lee Thomson's your man, he knows about these things, but didn't want to be presumptuous, but there you go, Lee Thomson's your man.
That's nice, that. It makes a change from all those "ohh, your photo's so scary" comments I usually get.As an old colleague would say, it's only a pleasure.
