The final episode of Liquid Lunch is coming on Friday 24th June. It's going to be epic. Comedy AND drama! What's going to happen to Ollie and Alex? How will it end?
I know, it's almost too much excitement. Calm yourself down by watching episode 5, or catch up/rewatch the series up until now. Also, I'd love to get the Facebook page up to 200 LIKES for the finale, so click on over if you haven't done so already, thanks!
The all-new episode of Liquid Lunch, my six-part comedy web series that's been running over the last few weeks.
Episode 5: 'Flip For the Trip' - Ollie and Alex deal with the Jenny issue and decide what to do next.
Only one episode left! Coming next Friday, 24th June! What will happen in the big finale?! Tune in to find out! And have another exclamation mark while we're at it!!
On a more sensible note, why not catch up on what you might have missed or rewatch what you've already enjoyed. Each episode is about two minutes long:
So we're up to episode 4. Two episodes to go. The series is slowly filtering out into the internet. A few die-hard fans have emerged (like, from all over the globez!) which has been very gratifying. The feedback has been positive so far but despite the die-hards, it's been pretty much from friends, family and/or from around the scribosphere.
So, I'm opening it out to you, dear reader, to let me know what you think. You can leave a comment here anonymously, and I won't even moderate. I can take negative criticism (most people are aware of the weaknesses in their own work) but if you feel you need to get particularly nasty or offensive, well, I might have to delete. ** UPDATE: NORMAL COMMENT MODERATION IN USE **
Episode 5 is on this Friday 17th June, the penultimate episode that turns up the heat on Ollie and Alex before the series finale gives them a massive decision to make. Which way will it go?? I hope you tune in to find out! Anyway, would love to hear your feedback on the show so far, so fire away! *gulp*
Here's a two minute behind the scenes video for Liquid Lunch, taken from the day of the shoot so you can get a taste of what filming was like. It doesn't contain any spoilers but you might want to watch episode 4 first, as there are some references to that towards the end. Thanks again to everyone who's been tweeting, Facebooking and spreading the word. It genuinely helps and really means a lot. Only two episodes to go! Episode 5 coming on Friday 17th June. In the meantime, take a look at episode 4, and then watch the behind the scenes video right under it.
Following up on the previous post, where I mentioned Dan Doolan's improvisation prowess, here's a quick 45 second clip of him doing his thang during rehearsals for ep3, and the whole 'get on a cruise ship, you could be a magician' schtick.
Thanks again to everyone who's been supporting Liquid Lunch around the internet. We've had a great response to the series so far, so we hope it continues to find, and hold, an audience.
If you've caught up with episode 3, I thought you might like to see the first draft script and the shooting draft script; what changed, what gags were removed, changed or improved (e.g I quite like the 'Babestation' gag but it didn't make the 2nd draft cut). In particular, check out Dan Doolan's line in the finished video about 'we could go on a cruise, I could work the bar, you could be a magician' as it came from a terrific piece of improvisation.
Dan and Chris Billingham both did a wonderful job of adding lines and gags, and improved the material enormously with their hard work and enthusiasm. Thanks guys! Anyway, here's the 1st draft & shooting draft script, and you can watch the finished video at the end.
In this edition, we talk about the 1 page-per-minute rule, Tim reflects on his Cannes experience (check out Tim's vodcasts, below!), we talk about how to make a web series, review The Good Wife, and we've got a great new competition with Industrial Scripts where you can win a free place on their popular Effective Script Reading course, plus other goodies. And, possibly most exciting of all, we've got a jingle for the show, courtesy of Joel Maguet - thanks Joel! (Joel also did the catchy sting for Liquid Lunch!)

Thanks to everyone who's been supporting Liquid Lunch get around the internets! It really makes a huge difference to the kind of audience it can reach. Most of this online action is through Twitter, Facebook, blogs and emails but I'll take even real word of mouth (chatting to a co-worker) right down to morse code or carrier pigeon.
Episode 3 is coming up on Friday 3rd June, so here's a short teaser of what's in store for Ollie and Alex.
If you haven't seen eps 1 & 2 yet, then here's what you've missed so far. You can also watch the show on Funny Or Die and give it the vote of your choice (DerrenBrownMindTrick *FUNNY* EndDerrenBrownMindTrick).
